The hotel surprised us with a few unexpected drawbacks despite its great location. The rooms were not as modern or well-equipped as advertised, but the staff was friendly and welcoming. The small fridges provided were only suitable for drinks, and the hair dryer seemed ancient. However, the convenient location and friendly service somewhat made up for these shortcomings.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms didn't meet our expectations with outdated features like the hair dryer and lack of proper TV setup, though they were clean and somewhat comfortable.
Service
9.0
The service was super nice, and we even received a breakfast voucher. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our stay more enjoyable.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was perfect for our needs, close to town and convenient for exploring Mackinaw City.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was average, nothing exceptional, but the classic fried fish was decent. However, the early closing time of 9 pm was a bit inconvenient for us.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were basic, but we appreciated the tours and ticket assistance available, adding value to our stay.

7.2/10

The hotel room wasn't worth $84 plus taxes and resort fees. The room was more appealing with its spacious layout and various lighting fixtures, providing ample light. However, the decor was lacking, and the towels were on the thin side.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious with several different lighting fixtures so we had plenty of light.
Service
7.0
The service was very good - friendly and helpful. However, there were some issues that were not fixed promptly, and some staff members were not as friendly as expected.
Location
8.0
The location was convenient, right off the highway next to the shore and within walking distance of the ferry to Mackinac. It was close to the activities we wanted to do, making it a good spot to stay.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was okay if you like powdered eggs in the morning. The breakfast spread was sufficient, but could have been improved with more tray options or breakfast equipment.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel didn't try the indoor pool, but it seemed to offer good facilities overall.

The hotel room was a mixed experience. It was very dated, but also really cute and very clean. The bed was decent, and it had essential amenities like a TV, fridge, and closet. However, it was small and noisy for the price of around $65 per night, which felt somewhat justifiable once inside.

Rooms
7.0
The room was very dated but also cute and clean. The amenities like the bed, TV, fridge, and closet were decent.
Service
8.0
The service was very helpful and pleasant; they even went above and beyond to help us print a ferry ticket. Loved the auto text service welcoming us and offering area recommendations. The staff was friendly and welcoming in the lobby and breakfast area, though there was an incident when our bike was threatened to be towed if not moved back to the parking lot.
Location
9.0
The location worked well for us as it was close to my elderly parents. It was clean, close to town, but not in the middle of everything. The area was in Mackinac City, convenient to restaurants and shops but away from major traffic areas.
Dining
9.0
The dining experience was very pleasant with a variety of items on the menu, including real eggs, sausage, home fries, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, juices, coffee, and Danish. The food was excellent, and the quality was much better compared to other places that usually offer just muffins. The hotel also boasted famed USDA prime-aged steaks.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were well-maintained, offering a good experience overall for the price paid.
